02-03-09 - Start up production buffer at CAPSUGEL
The automated production buffer & palletizing system SCARABEE delivered to CAPSUGEL Bornem (B) is “up and running”. AGV’s are bringing cartons with pharmaceutical materials from the production area to the central receiving point of the buffer. The cartons are then transported by conveyor systems to the miniload buffer. As soon as an pallet order is called of by CAPSUGEL, cartons are retrieved from the miniload via some labelling and closing units to the palletizing robotcel. From there the pallets are foil wrapped and labelled all automatically. The whole system is controlled by the WMS, MFC and visualisation software also delivered by Scarabee.
